Aaron Moseley Assignment 6

What's been on my mind recently is the generally rude and malicious behavior in our government from politicians on both sides of the aisle. This has started mostly because of all the political ads from Andy Barr and Amy McGrath who are running for Congress in our district of Kentucky.
Something I've seen from both sides, whether either of the candidates personally endorsed them, is attack ads. It's something we've now all grown accustomed to seeing every two years in the fall. These ads usually just take cheap shots at the other opponent and don't say anything substantive, like "Amy McGrath, too liberal for Kentucky." I wouldn't even dislike these ads if they talked about the other politicians political views instead of taking their words out of context and using it against the candidate to portray them as something they're not.
Both these specific politicians and political campaigns in general have adopted strikingly less intelligent campaign strategies than people deserve. Instead of talking about real issues, they all have a gimmick to try to set them apart from their opponent. However, it just make them seem shallow and cheap. Some of the points both politicians have made, I agree with, but their ads make me not want to vote for either of them.
