After college, I hope to go into the field of software engineering or general computer science. Because of this, my college search has been focused on colleges that have really good computer science programs. Right now, my dream schools are Carnegie Mellon in Pennsylvania and MIT in Massachusetts. Both of these have been ranked as some of the top computer science schools in the country, and from what research I've done, they have very good financial aid packages for all students. After my undergraduate degree, I want to get a masters in computer science from a similar school and I might even try for an MBA after that.
The main experience I want from college is to work hard and hopefully have fun during my downtime. I don't think I will join many extracurriculars or a fraternity because I will want to focus mainly on my classes. But, I will want to be involved with a group of friends that I meet through classes.
I feel that my plan for college is designed to provide me with as many opportunities as is possible once I enter the job market. If I follow through with it, the degrees I earn and the colleges I go to will look very good on my resume, allowing me to achieve almost anything.
