College is a monumental choice in a high schooler's life. Yet, many students, including myself, do not yet know where they plan to attend or even what they would like to major in. However, junior year has forced the thought of where I would like to apply to college.
My first choice for college would be the University of Michigan. Half of my family resides around southern and central Michigan, where the University of Michigan and Michigan State University are located. I would not mind going to either school, however, I have spent more time in Ann Arbor and I enjoy the U of M campus. Also, Michigan's engineering program is one of the top programs in the country, and as of now, I am leaning toward an engineering career.
Once accepted to college, the next decision is where one will live. Since my family lives right outside of Ann Arbor, I have a place to go and do laundry and get an occasional dinner, however I will probably live in freshman dorms for my first year. That will allow me to make some friends and get involved in the social life.
