Assignment 9- Thoughts on War

   War, to me, seems like a last resort. An option that comes from the consequence of a disagreement or conflict that can't seem to be resolved unless violence is involved. I also do believe that there is an appropriate time for war. If a foreign party were to attack the country that one resides in and attempts to invade it, then war would be an appropriated option as clearly the foreign party has a goal in mind which won't change unless violence is involved. There is also a time where war would be an inappropriate course of action. For example if a disagreement takes place and it could be resolved through negotiating and the loss of human lives wouldn't be necessary then that should easily take precedent over the option of war. I feel that if countries or other parties would sit down and discuss their digressions with each other, instead of going straight to war, it would effectively solve issues without the consequences that are met with war, but sometimes war is the only option.
