Assignment 13 - Michael Sellers
There are too many Muslims living in the United States currently. Just as we did with the Japanese during World War II, we must create internment camps for these people. This makes sense from a historic point of view as the United States, in fact, ended up winning the war against the Japanese following the internment of the Japanese-American citizens. With the war on terrorism in the Middle East kept in mind, many of these Muslims, just like the Japanese, may possess patriotic sentiment for their countries of origin. Thus, these people pose a potential imminent threat to the United States. Many may find moral issues with the proposed internment of the Muslim people, however, the defense of our nation and the American people must become the priority in times like this. Ask yourself this: should the freedoms of our domestic enemies be preserved, knowing very well they possess the potential to carry out attacks in the name of their religion or home country?
