Assignment 15 - Grace Payne

An idea that causes me to lose all track of time is school shootings/gun violence. I know it's a bit of a darker topic, but it keeps my attention nonetheless. Being a high schooler, school shootings are very prevalent in my life, and so it's important to me to know what to do if a school shooter entered the building and how to identify someone that may be a school shooter. I can spend hours on YouTube researching this stuff, because it's extremely interesting. It's also interesting to see the conspiracy theories that arise from school shootings. For example, there is a considerable amount of people who believe that the Sandy Hook shooting was fabricated by the government. That is clearly false and it's horrible that people could think that, but the psychology behind why people could think that is even feasible is intriguing. If I want to learn more, I usually turn to YouTube. It sounds a bit cheesy, but YouTube is a great way to see exactly what to do and to see the emotions people are experiencing (they also make my cry very easily.)
