Assignment 20- Ryan Sperry's How to Throw a Baseball

Today, I will be doing a step-by-step tutorial on how to properly throw a baseball

1. Grab a baseball with your dominant hand and put a baseball glove on the opposite hand
2. Depending on if you are left handed or right handed, you need to stand sideways so that the hand with the ball is on the backside of your body
3. Hold the baseball with your dominant hand, inside of your glove
4. When you have picked your target, begin to separate your ball hand from your glove hand while loading weight onto your back hip. Your front shoulder should also come up with this movement.
4. After separating your hands, step towards your target and rotate your body/core over the front part of your hip. A helpful tip is to pretend like you are wearing a belt and rotate over it. You would rotate/drive your back hip through the target
5. Keep your eyes on your target
6. Release the ball at an appropriate height as you are rotating over your "belt"
7.  Pray that fastball you just hurdled doesn't hurt the recipient

There are many small mechanics that go into throwing a baseball and throwing one hard and accurate takes years of practice, but once you learn the mechanics and practice going through the motions you can add your own preference to the way you deliver the ball.
