Aaron Moseley Assignment 23

I made the perfect soundtrack to do homework to. These do go in order of how to play them while doing homework and I can assure you I listened to these songs while writing this blog post.


1. Vienna by Billy Joel

This song is really for when your starting out on a night of homework. The music at least is pretty sad and depressing which emphasizes the feelings one might have when looking at a few hours of work that needs to be done. This might reinforce a bad feeling for some people and make it harder for them to work but it really helps me dig out of the hole of despair every night.

2. "Journey" from the Destiny 2 soundtrack

Destiny 2 has probably one of my favorite soundtracks from all of the recent video games, but this song stands out to me from the rest of the music. I don't exactly know why, but this in particular calms me while doing almost anything. No matter what has happened in my day, I can listen to this song and get to work. Also the fact that it's a 7 minute long instrumental track that doesn't pick up until the very end helps with the calming aspect.

3. Mr. Blue Sky by ELO

This is mainly a hype song that gets you in the mood for doing homework. It's extremely upbeat and exciting to listen to. The whole thing is happy and while it can't get me excited for homework, it can get close.

4. Spooky Scary Skeletons Remix

This song might be used mostly in memes and jokes, but it actually helps while doing work. It's a very mindless song that once you get in the mood for working from the previous songs, can just maintain that energy. It's fast and upbeat, and there are multiple 10 hour loops of it that can be listened to as long as the rest of your homework takes.

5. Movin' out by Billy Joel

This last song is mainly for winding down work and cleaning up everything. It has a very affirming feel to it and basically empowers me to get through the last of my work and complete everything for the night.
