Assignment 2- Rhyan Lee

I definitely have not read as much as I’ve needed to within the past twelve months due to a constantly busy schedule, but a few books I have read are The Darkest Minds, Never Fade, and Ancient Egypt. The first two are part of a three book series that I did not finish and the third book was a non-fiction book on the ancient Egyptians.

I started reading the darkest minds because I saw it somewhere and it seemed interesting and it was decently interesting for the first book and a half. Once I got into reading the second book, Never Fade, it just lost momentum. The plot line was messy, I had a hard time following what was going on, and it just wasn’t enough to keep my attention anymore, so I stopped reading the series.

Ancient Egypt is an amazing non-fiction book. It gives tons of facts in an engaging way, so it doesn’t bore you and it also has plenty of beautiful pictures and illustrations to complement the facts being stated. It usually takes me a couple weeks or so to finish a book, but I finished this in two days. It is one of my favorite books now and I would like to read similar non-fiction books to this.
