Assignment 2 - Tommy Svetich

Over the past 12 months I have no read very many novels due to soccer and other activities I enjoy. Here are the few books I've completed in the past year:

The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald- This book was a required reading in AP Seminar last school year. Due to The Great Gatsby being a required reading I felt the need to dislike it before we even began. However, as we read further into the novel I became emerged into the story and the craziness with the life of Gatsby and Nick.

Animal Farm by George Orwell - I originally read this back in 7th grade, also because it was required. In 7th grade I did not fully comprehend the story or symbolism during my first reading. However, rereading the book made me understand the message and lead to me enjoying the book more.

The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien - I have always been into Lord of the Rings and sadly have seen the movies before reading any of the books. Therefore I decided to read The Hobbit to reengage my interest into the Lord of the Rings story. This was one of my more favorable readings because I do know what is going on and am very interested in the subject, making it an enjoyable time.
