Assignment 5- Ryan Sperry

   My mom and I don't have cable and we rarely watch television. The only time we watch shows in general is on Netflix or hulu. The only time I ever watch television is during sports games, and I haven't really felt the need to get cable. For this reason, I believe that T.V is just a platform where companies can advertise products. If someone wants to watch a specific awards show or sports game then it is understandable that one tunes into it on television, but watching T.V for a show has become severely outdated. Especially with the rise of netflix and other streaming services that don't have ads. If you want to watch a show, just save your time and watch it on Netflix if available to avoid long commercial breaks.
