Television, for me, is a source of entertainment. It allows you to be a part of a different storyline with each channel you turn to. It promotes imagination, it relieves stress, it creates a whirlwind of emotions, but one issue is advertisements. Companies take advantage of television in order to promote themselves. They do this because they know there is a plethora of people watching for whatever reason they might be and the best way to get their name out there is to pitch it to the largest amount of people they can at one time.
Though TV was intended for entertainment, which it still remains entertaining, its just been taken over by advertisements and has been zapped from some of the enjoyment and the alleviation people get from watching it.
