Assignment 6- Lydia Klumb
Science has always fascinated me. Understanding how the world works and what things are made of has interested me since I was a child. Recently I have discovered my love of chemistry. Mixing basic chemicals to create completely new substances or witnessing certain chemical reactions made me start to look forward to that class every day. This year, I have also found that I have an interest in psychology. Figuring out why people do the things they do is a completely new and exciting topic. When I was in middle school, I used to love to watch shows like CSI and Criminal Minds, but never understood why I enjoyed them so much, especially because they are not the best of TV entertainment. I realize now that this is because these shows (Criminal Minds especially) went into depth about what the criminal was thinking, and their motive behind their crime. Because of my love of these two subjects, I have decided that I will pursue a chemistry major and psychology minor in college. This way I can continue to learn about the subjects I am passionate about, and can better fulfill my childhood desire to know how the world works.
