Assignment 9: Charlie Boone

In modern day society, we must be more careful than ever when it comes to engaging in a full blown war with another country or its allies. I feel as though technology has evolved so much since our last war, and the damages to our nation and its people would be catastrophic. I only believe we should go to war if the cause is directed at the United States. For instance, I believe the war on terrorism was a justified war as the attack was directly on the United States. But America also is heavily involved in the global scene. We are a world power and must fight to protect freedoms, but it should not come at the cost of nuclear war or war within America's boarders. If we must send troops to stop a genocide in another country, or send troops to attempt to stop a country at there attempts to acquire nuclear weapons, so be it.
