Assignment 9- Cloe Kennedy

Ideally a sane person would never want war. But when a country is being threatened, there is a time for war.  It’s not morally right but I also can not think of an act to punish another that couldn’t be considered a wartime action. War is preferred over bombing a nation and giving no innocents a chance or the ability to fight back. Countries should feel responsible for going to war when it’s people are severely in danger and they have no other way to deal with the matter. A country’s goal should to be to keep its people and communities safe no matter what. That means preventing violence that would directly bring harm to them and protecting the communities values in a safe way. Honestly I do not know of any alternatives to declaring war upon another country. In assessing whether it’s morally right, many people have to weigh the pros and cons to examine it from all points.
