Bhoomi Shah - Assignment 11
I sit next to Ryan Sperry in AP Lang. I've known Ryan for around three years, really since the start of ninth grade. However, I never knew much about him until we became seatmates. From what I can tell, I believe Ryan to be a very compassionate and hardworking individual. He also is very funny, whether it's intentional or otherwise. During class, he likes to make little goofy quips or remarks that some might find as self-deprecating, but in the grand scheme of things is just apart of his overall persona. His compassion has also become very prominent to me. Every morning he asks me how I'm doing and how my day so far has been. If I'm stressing out about a test, he's always there to give a little confidence boost and cheer me up. Ryan is also one of the most dedicated individuals I've ever met. He does so many extracurriculars from playing the cello to KYA to basketball, yet he finds time to maintain good grades and a healthy social life. He's not very confident in his abilities, which has become very apparent to me when we talk about hw assignments or tests. However, he really is just selling himself short. He's aware when he isn't prepared for a subject and always tries his hardest to prep the best he can for his classes from Physics to Spanish. In five years I see Ryan at a large university, most likely part of a fraternity. I would characterize Ryan as the color yellow because he has a glowing and bright potential to do great things in his future.
