I have faced a multitude of failures in my soccer career, but a recent failure had a profound impact on me as well as the team. During the season, we secured the number one seed for the district tournament. When the post season came and we found ourselves in the District Championship against Bryan Station, we lost. This was a shock and an embarrassing loss. Personally, I did not do my part to help us win that game, and I felt determined to not let the team or myself down again. Overall, the team felt robbed, like we should have won. So after losing, we went on to win the Region Tournament and advance to state. This proved to me that we had something special because we did not let a loss define us. Instead we brushed it aside, regrouped, and everyone stepped up allowing us to do great things.
