Step One) Open the gear cover, located on the top of the E-Pump, and identify the gears on the feeding bag tubing.
Step Two) To load the tubing into the pump, grasp the finger tab on the light purple valve and slide the valve into the front channel of the pump. Make sure to push the valve all the way into the channel. Wrap the tubing around the wheel and pull gently until you can slide the black ring into the back channel.
Step Three) Close the cover.
Step Four ) Prepare your formula and rinsing materials. Pour the amount of formula needed into a clean feeding bag and turn pump on. Hang feeding bag above feeding pump.
Step Five) Remove cap on end of feeding bag tube. Press the arrow pointing to "Prime Pump". Press "Auto Prime" and then "Hold to Prime Feed" until formula drips out. Choose "Done".
Step Six) Choose "Adjust Feed" and, using the arrows pointing to corresponding lines, adjust to correct volume and rate.
Step Seven) Using sterile water and flush syringe, fill syringe with water and inject into patient's feeding tube.
Step Eight) Choose "Run" and the formula will begin to pump into the tubing.
Step Nine) When the feeding is finished, press and hold the power button until the pump shuts off. Throw the bag out once it has been used for 24 hours.
Step Ten) Repeat step seven.
