One of the best unique experiences I’ve had the privilege of having in my life is my parents. My parents both (well all 4) work at UK. This makes UK a foregone conclusion for university. I’ll get a great tuition and my parents have been saving money in UK’s one system for many years to pay for any undergraduate I would like, this is a great oppertunity to go to a great state school and come out debt free with a degree of my choice. Secondly both of my parents are engineers. This has helped me in innumerable ways in the form of math homework, legitimately I hear stories of kids who are unable to get help from their parents after 8th or 9th grade in math but my parents still regularly do calculus and this helps greatly. It’s also given me a fairly simple thing to aim for in college, atleast for undergrad, engineering. It’s a great foundation for pretty much any stem post grad school including med school and that really helps. This is a great help for college I have little confusion about what to do or what I want my major to do.
