Assignment 22- Ryan Sperry and why im different
We all strive to be different, but its difficult. When applying to colleges, the idea that so many kids are in the same position as you and have the same merit as you is one that reaches everyone's mind. Having the ability to speak two languages fluently and the fact that I am a cello player, baseball player, and an employee of Fazolis may set me apart. Having bi-racial parents and getting the experience to travel to another country every year to see family is also a feature that sets me apart. It allows me to have an extended perspective on the world and have a deeper understanding of foreign culture, especially in Asia. These experiences allow colleges to understand that I have experienced a world outside of one that we all have come to know. Traveling to a foreign country can be compared to that of an outer-worldly experience. The different atmosphere and culture of a foreign country can change peoples perspectives on the world. College can also be compared to an outer-worldly experience. My experiences with those would be comparable, and allow me to adapt to the college lifestyle quickly and adjust my way of life with it.
