Assignment 23 - Oliver Fister

Only a few weeks before I found out about this Blogpost I had already made a 70+ song playlist for myself called "Oliver's Greatest Hits". It includes my favorite songs, with one major parameter: They have to be "real" songs, sung by a person. No EDM or instrumental stuff, although I like plenty of songs like that too. Also, no covers or remixes unless they're well-known in relation to the original.

The songs cover a wide range of genres and styles. Some of them are relatively older, like Queen and Tom Petty, but the majority are Top 40 songs that have been released throughout my life. It also includes many bands and artists (many one are included in the list just once) and have no other real rules or themes other than the fact I like the beat. The lyrics often don't mean much to me, but they sometimes do. Some songs are slow, some more energetic, but I find that almost all the ones I put in are something that I don't want to skip in nearly any situation or mood. Some songs I'll start with if I'm doing something specific, like going on a run or trying to focus on homework, but if I'm just relaxing and having it on in the background, I'm satisfied to put it on shuffle and let it take me where it does.

When I first made the list a couple weeks ago, it included 69 songs, and at the time I'm writing this it's up to 77 as I've remembered or found new ones.
