1. POWER- Kanye West
This is the first song on the playlist because whenever you walk into the gym you are surrounded by these hulks among men and when you just want to build a little muscle it can be intimidating, but this song reminds you that you are powerful. Being confident and sticking to yourself is important in the gym. It is also a great song.

2. Live from the Gutter- Drake and Future
This song talks about the struggles people face as you go through life, but motivations of money, wealth, and personal achievement help push through those struggles. The melancholic, yet at times upbeat, tone feels appropriate when pushing yourself at the gym. It helps to keep you focused on the why you are at the gym and what you are trying to accomplish.

3. 'Till I Collapse- Eminem, Nate Dogg
This song gives me chills whenever it comes on, as the slow buildup, helps to pace yourself and when the beat drops you want to go as hard as you can. The lyrics also seem to be yelling at you to not give up and keeping going. This is the song you want on when you are doing your most challenging workout. Use the intensity in the song to push yourself in real life.

4. Lucky You Eminem ft. Joyner Lucas
Another Eminem song that argues about getting credit and recognition in today's world despite the hardships and successes he has achieved. The fast beat and quick flow of this song pairs well with the last song in order to keep the same intensity that you had during the workout of your last song.

5. Wolves- Kanye West
This song explores many different feelings of hope, love, and fear. The lyrics highlight the people in your life that will beat you down, but those are the same people that make you stronger. This song is a change of beat from the last 3 songs as it's more of a angelic beat as opposed to a hard intense beat. It is a great cool down song after a good workout and is a stark contrast to the others.
