Assignment 13 - Eli Flomenhoft

Immigration is a contentious political topic. Some people want tighter restrictions on borders, to keep all the weak chaff out of our great country. And others want to open our borders up to more immigrants. One argument against increased immigration states that these immigrants will leech off of government welfare and not contribute anything to the economy. Therefore I propose the US government institutes a thunder-dome style fighting arena in immigrant screening. Two men enter one man leaves. And if that takes to long they can modify it. Throw 50 people in the arena and only the top 5 may continue their immigration screenings. Furthermore there is no need to worry that someone who is physically superior but not mentally makes it to America. After this initial test they will go through years of screening to make sure they are mentally and physically the peak specimens that America wants. Only the strongest and brightest shall join our glorious country.
